Bio
François Chabot was born in Paris. He started the study of classical guitar at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris and was unanimously awarded with a first prize at the Conservatoire national régional de Paris.
He deepened the interpretation of early music on the baroque guitar and theorbo at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague (Holland) and with the maestro Hopkinson Smith at the famous Schola Cantorum in Basel (Switzerland).
Appearances as a soloist and in various formations in Europe and Canada, he played and recorded with Hervé Niquet and the Concert spirituel, Christophe Coin, Christophe Rousset and the Talens lyriques, Monica Hugett and the Arion orchestra, The Freiburger Orchestra, the Luzern Festival Orchestra.
Always passionate about the so deep relation between pictures and music, he tries, since 2020, with humility and passion, to express his music in this beautiful and exciting film scoring landscape.
Finalist at the Indie Film Music Contest 2021 and at the Ost-Challenge 2021, he composed the original score of several short films and is working now on his first feature film.
